About Us

     In 1998, Jennifer Bartlett found that Flagler County offered no counseling services for young women facing unplanned pregnancies.  As a young girl Jennifer faced an unplanned pregnancy and due to lack of information, feeling like she was in a hole that she could not get out of, scared and alone, she chose to abort her first baby.  Several years later facing another unplanned pregnancy, she was fortunate enough to find guidance at a local crisis pregnancy center.  This motivated her to help others who were facing similar circumstances.  When she and her famliy moved to Palm Coast, she found that there were no centers available for women facing unplanned pregnancies.  Although she had no formal training or experience, she felt a center was needed.  Alpha Pregnancy Center opened its doors in August of 1999.

For over ten years, Alpha Pregnancy Center has talked with many young women in a panic over their unplanned pregnancies.  Today, our organization provides over 900 services to approximately 165 women each year.

Alpha Pregnancy Center has two paid staff and a number of amazing volunteers.
